I already explained what feral was. I know homers can have white flights. The bird was found wandering around a mall. By definition that makes it a feral pigeon. But that doesn't say anything about the breed. Feral is not a breed. The bird is majority if not completely based on homing pigeons in...
Do you even know what a feral pigeon is? It's not a wild pigeon... It's a pigeon of domestic descent which have gone feral. The vast majority of any given feral is going to be homing pigeon if not pure... Feral is not a breed of pigeon. Feral is a condition in which a pigeon lives.
As for it...
That is not a New York Flying Flight. That is a homing pigeon or just a pigeon of feral descent. Which happen to have some primary flight feathers white.
Well I don't have any science to back up it up. It's just how I see it. Some domestic pigeons have oil glands which are located above their tails while others do not. I believe having it brings a lot of benefits to the bird as it coats the feathers and helps with vitamin D, I believe. I'm not...
I agree with Jason. You came on here ranting about this ans than and saying show birds are infertile and this was done to sabotage squabbling attempts. Just really strange stuff, were you excepting to gather a bunch of support? I said what feral population looked like down here also for Jason...
How many real racing homers have you seen? Just speculating but there probably a good chance that 95%+ of any feral blood is homer based. How would they get larger than homers? I've seen normal small looking ferals and homer feral throughout Phoenix and have some in my loft right now... I'm in...
Homing pigeons are not less robust or dove like compared to Ferals. It's the opposite... There are plenty domestic non utility pigeons bred to be healthy and vigorous. The flight I posted above has an large oil gland which is good thing as it protect feathers and also makes them shiny as an side...
All pigeon breeds have an heritage. There are more pigeon breed types than just show type and utility types. There are also performance oriented types. Show birds are not notoriously infertile by any means. The breeds want fertile birds so they can breed more... They are not trying to ruin there...
Hi, yes I fly my flights. I got into them last year and only flew a few birds around 15. Now I only have one bird at the moment who flys as the rest I have being paired up and I'm about to start breeding a whole new stock as I didn't like the looks most of my last stock. I flew them with my...

Really now? I asked a few people about it but no one knew as a combination like that is not very common. Did you happen to get any pictures? What did they look like?
You can only hope. I just had my dominant opal bar drop eggs with a kite velvet I paired it with. I love the t patterns, along as it is well expressed the shade of opal doesn't matter but I think I'll be getting the rusty color out of them. The whites are real nice though.
Hi, would love to see them. I don't know of anyone who has them except for a mexican in Mexico. I hope Chet is still alive and working on them. Not sure if this breed will ever make it anywhere.
yes, but like i said, most people don't have tame birds. So keep that in mind or get young birds 1 month old or hand feed. Then they will be really lovely and not afraid of you at all. Right now i handle my birds from 5 days old everyday by picking them and walking around with them. Its does a...
