Does anyone raise turkeys or know of anyone who has fertile turkey eggs?

Yes, lots of ticks here in Guilford. I've found three on me, and had two bites. Luckily no Lyme (had them tested), but it seems like a bad tick year. I keep giving the flock a tick-eating pep talk. Hope it works.

Thanks the ideas and info. I did not know that UConn would do it, or that it would be a free service. Too late now, but great to know for future reference. I didn't see any entry points for predators, and I do look pretty often, but I will give a thorough inspection tonight.

Sad chicken news today. We found our 8-month old rooster dead in their run early this afternoon. No obvious cause. A couple of blood spots were found in the run, but no clear injuries. He seemed fine this morning and nothing was different in his behavior recently. None of the hens seem sick...

Thank you. I have been patrolling craigslist frequently. Haven't really looking into eBay too much. I also was worried that building my own would be a project... and more frustration that I want to undertake willingly.

I thought about making my own. Are you using styrofoam containers or actual cabinets or something else? Any photos?
