I am getting about 11 baby chicks ( 10 pullets and 1 rooster) this summer. I have 10 acres of woods. I would like to get a couple of guineas to go in with the chickens. Will the 2 be enough to help with the tick population and help to keep predators away? Can they stay in the same coop?

My hen just started laying. She has laid 7 eggs so far. The last 2 have had "crinckley" looking shells. It was milder weather when she started but the last couple of days have been colder. Is this ok? I haven't changed any of their feed or routine. Any ideas ? Thanks!
