She's in with two other girls, and neither of those are showing any signs of any illness. She was the top of the pecking order, but I could find no injuries which may explain anything.

Yesterday morning we went outside and find her slumped on the ground. Her feet were turned in (see photo), and she wouldn't weight bare. Her comb was very very dark, and she was difficult to wake.

I've been doing some research, and it does seem as though Sally is a boy :(
I've contacted my sister in law, who gave us the chicks, and she's happy for us to take him back and swap with one that doesn't show so many signs as being a cockerel.

OK, I'm chicken-illiterate, so can someone please explain "cockerel" for me. I'm assuming it means baby rooster, coz if it is a baby rooster, I'm going to have to rehome him - we aren't legally allowed roosters here
