i too have noticed no eggs!
she molted about a month ago and all of her feathers are now back in place but still no eggs. how long of a wait do you normally see between molting and laying eggs?
i had forgot to post these pix with the other one. i made it flip up so i can clean it easy. i put the panels inside for the winter and i use shrink wrap on the bottom to help cut down on the drafts
is it normal for them to molt this time of year? i would have thought they would need those feathers in the winter months. it has been a mild winter here as well will that have any thing to do with it? my back yard looks like it has snowed, pekin feathers everywhere! it seems like she lost most...
i dont know how much truth there is to this but when i bought my ducks at the hardware store the old guy there said that you can hang hem upside down by their feet and if the fight to get up it a boy and she just hangs down then its a female. i had one of each and when they grew older sure enuff...
thanks! you cant see it in the pictures but when you fold up the front porch the entire second story has a hinge on the back and flips up so it can be cleaned.
