    Feel Like I'm Failing :-(

I think I'm going to! Do you think he will be okay in a pen by himself rather than with the hens? Oh I hadn't thought of the fact that we may not have enough hens for the one roo. Do you think I can keep the roo in the pen he's in and move the hens over to the new pen when we get it set up...

    Feel Like I'm Failing :-(

Congratulations on your chicks! I appreciate the hugs. I think maybe I'm being overly worried about the chickens. I just feel like they are in a smaller area than they ought to be so I feel bad. But from what people are saying, it sounds like I'm getting too worried. Oh and if I can't find a way...

    Feel Like I'm Failing :-(

Thanks for your response! Okay I will definitely leave them in the coop then. They do go in there at night by themselves and obviously feel safe there so I'll just continue to close the door at night. I will see about finding a home for one of the roos. I'm not sure how to go about that...

At night they are in the coop then first thing in the morning I open the coop, give them fresh food and water and they have the run for the day until the sun sets and I put them back in...

    Coop Constructed of Cedar Okay?

So I've read about how you shouldn't use cedar shavings with chickens. I found a fantastic cedar-made chicken coop that someone is selling. Is this okay or should I steer clear of it as well? TIA!

Making a coop out of a camper shell

Has anyone done this before? Not including the camper shell, about how much did it cost? And I would love to see some pictures if you have them! TIA!

    Hi There!

Hello Everyone, I've lurked on this board a bit off and on over the last couple of weeks and thought I would join. :) My husband and I got some Rhode Island Whites a month ago. I'm not sure how old they are - they didn't know when we bought them. But currently they have what I would guess at...
