    Niacin question...

Nutritional yeast flakes, which I use, apparently have 56 mg niacin in 2tsp whereas Brewer's yeast has 10 mg per 2tsp www.livestrong.com. Nutritional yeast is in bulk and refrigerated at my health food store, fairly cheap. My ducks are very healthy and strong, laying every day!

Hard pea sized growth in earlobe of a 3 year old Dom. Surgery needed?

My 3 year old hen has developed a purple-ish growth in her earlobe. She is completely fine otherwise, eating well and laying every day. I can't find info on this. It feels hard, it doesn't bother her to touch it. Does it need to come out? I tried to get pics but you can't really see it on exterior.

Everybody's on track now! Great production. The two year-olds I bought lay much larger eggs but all are doing great!

First two eggs today from pullets born mid April! But too soft.

Maybe it was the drastic drop in temperatures. Unfortunately, they were too soft. Is this normal for the first eggs? They get layer pellets, and yogurt for extra calcium. Adding oyster shell today. Since I have 2 eggs and 4 birds, and now know one is a roo, I'm wondering about the other! 1...
