  7. "Chicken Doors" on each side of nesting boxes. If I ever get to breeding different birds, I'll be able to have two separate runs, nesting and roosting areas, plus free range the rest out the main door. IF.....:)

    Want Heritage Chicken 's that are good for meat, help?

    Barred Rocks(not sure on age, but young)-3 1/2# dressed. Very aggressive, mean. Welsummer-3 1/2#. Very nice/beautiful birds to raise. BJG-4 1/2#. If you like dark meat, these birds had HUGE legs and thighs.

    Cold col, what is too cold

    Its been down to 6 here in MI's UP. My coop is 8'X12'x8 1/2'high is not insulated and is very well ventilated. My chickens free range in the day and seem to love the snow.
