Got my chicks the first week of May and it seemed like forever but today we got our first egg!!!

after 5 weeks in the house my chicks are now outside in there new pen. they made so much noise fussing the first night. when the neighbors back porch light came on i finally went out and put their brooder box in the pen. they have slept in that the past 3 nights without a peep. spoiled girls. lol

I have been looking at baby chicks at my local Wilco. i finally decided to start my own back yard flock so yesterday i picked up two Rhode Island Reds and two Ameruacanas. They made it thru the first night. I was sooo exited, i could hardly sleep and it was sooo hard to be at work today.Tonight...
