I have three hens and one of them is losing feathers like crazy. It looks like someone shredded a feather pillow in their run!! Seriously, there are feathers EVERYWHERE!!!
Anyhow I think this is the wrong time for molting? Is this normal? If not, what could it be?

I was a Vet Tech (didn't work with poultry though...) so no plants in their yard that are toxic, no chemicals are used in my yard or my house. I try to do everything green and non-toxic.
