    Week old bantam mystery.

I got 10 chicks from ideal, assortment "special" bantams. https://secuservices.com/ideal/newideal/selectproduct.aspx?qty=1&ID=BSP&Product=141 The link above is the webpage they have. I got the birds from a feed store in the area that have been buying from ideal for years. I get new chicks...

How long are eggs viable if power goes out?

https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/327724/incubator-lost-power I found another post like this stating various hatch rates. It does seem to effect it, and I personally lost a few eggs. Hatch rate went from a predicted 89% to just under 50% when my incubator lost power for about 8 hours when my...

Imprinting or bonding with newborn chicks.

I've got 11 chicks that are about to hatch on Wednesday. I also have two silkies, one male and female, who cannot find a place in the current flock. They're sweet, but the australorp pullets, which are not that much bigger, are really bossy and love to bully them around. In another area, 14...

Would you be able to tell me the dimensions you used? I have a lot of plywood and want to replicate the container you used. I don't like Styrofoam, it's weak. I rather have wood and treat it and have it really nice and durable. Also, would I want to seal the cracks with a heat resistant glue...

    Jersey Giant or Australorp?

I could really appreciate more feedback over this. I have a breeder who sold this trying to "defame" me because I simply told her it was not a show quality bird like she had intended to convince me of. She showed me the supposed parents, and their all perfect with black eyes and really pretty...

    Jersey Giant or Australorp?

I have other australorps, but I've never had a rooster. He's suppose to be younger then my girls, yet he has nearly 4 pounds on him. His feet are yellow and his eyes have a yellow ring in them. The woman I got her from insisted it's an australorp, but i'm still not convinced.

    Australorp coloration

I acquired 6 chickens that have a white spot on the tip of one feather on each wing. All of them have it, and now at 3 months they're solid black with green and still have a white spot. My question is, for the breed is that normal?

What do you see in Easter eggers? (Hater here)

I really dislike the breed. Outside of color eggs, they're not fun to be around. I've had about 10 different eggers and they all had horrible personalities, they were not even sweet. So I ate them.

Does any body know what breeds these chickens and bantams are?

Blue-barred is hard to come by, but I assure you they exist. My blue cochin and my barred rooster spit out some beautiful colours.
