One of my chickens laid a very large egg. I was expecting a double yoke and had a surprise. Anyone else ever seen this before?

I think it is really cool. I have 17 young hens, seven of which are just starting to lay. I'm sure it was one of them. They first laid really small eggs but this could have been something they do too.

I always enjoy watching my birds dust themselves. It is the simple things that make life fun. I had a video of the event but it was too large to submit.

This morning when I let the chickens out I found an egg with no shell and no yoke. I am new to chicken raising and was wondering if that was normal.
