Stray dogs got into our run this morning. *sigh* It's ALWAYS something. I'm in town too and my girls are the constant "babes in the wood". Fox, Owl, Hawk, Dogs, Racoons, Possum, Rats(I haven't seen evidence but I know they're out there). Poor girls. Tonights predator is COLD! We packed...
I just had a bit of a brain poof.
I have no idea if these things even work but remember those things that were on TV that claimed they could defrost frozen meat in minutes? It required no electricity or batteries?
Well here... one of these...
It turns out the "SHE" isn't a she at all. We woke up to COCKADOODLEDOOOOOO!!! this morning.
I can't keep a rooster. I'm in town so I won't have to worry with the flock harmony after all!
Oh, I so wish you could take him. He's so sweet. Hubby says "NO WAY, NO HOW" can we keep him. We live in a close residential neighborhood and it would NOT go over well with the neighbors.
I'm not sure. A friend of mine found him wandering around Downtown Huntington dodgeing traffic! She brought him over and we thought he was a hen. This morning proved that he was NOT! LOL
Someone said he might be a Japanese?
They've been attacking her. I put her in the small run where the other hens could see her but not hurt her. They were trying to peck through the fencing. We've brought her in for tonight. She'll live in the garage I guess until the big girls accept that she's not going anywhere and welcome...
