    Is there any hope?

Crystal has one more egg left. I just cannot tell if it is viable or not. My daughter accidentally rolled it to the far corner of the coop while cleaning the nest box. It has not been warm all night. I have it warming up now, but is it too late? If it was fertile? It has been unattended all...

Hi, still new with a different problem, exploding egg! UPDATE!!!!!

We got a better look and it seems that one of the chicks died from being stuck in dried membranes. Another chick is still trying to get out of the shell. It seems so thick. I know not to help it, but is there a time I should intervene? Please help!

Hi, still new with a different problem, exploding egg! UPDATE!!!!!

I am beginning to think those little egges are hardier than I have been giving them credit for. Our eggs have been through a 9 hour car trip in a dog carrier, a short stint in a shoe box, my daughter handleing them constantly, (before we suspected there were babies in there!) and a flood, where...

Hi, still new with a different problem, exploding egg! UPDATE!!!!!

She has beenn a very good mama, never once leaving her eggs, even though her nest has been moved a total of 4 times in a week. I am concerned about the babies. What with the contamination of the exploded egg, then sitting in 1/2 inch of rainwater under mama during the storm. There is still...

    Hi, new with questions

Hi everybody! We recently made a move from the coast of NC to the mountains of TN, with a female Silkie in a dog crate along with a clutch of ten eggs. We had no idea the eggs were fertile at the time of the move, but after candleing, I believe they are, at least some of them. We only brought...
