A woman selling eggs on e-Bay from Alabama sold me the Cream Legbar eggs that I hatched. And all the eggs were green/blue. Guess she might not even know she has a Rhodebar mixed in with her flock. Since I posted this my second hen has started laying green/blue eggs.
one of my Cream Legbar hens which has only laid 2 eggs ( starting this week). They are a creamy tan. The other hen laying a blue/green egg. What is the chance that this is a cross mix?
This makes perfect sense to me. I want to keep my blue egg color but it is possible to get eggs and chicks from other people and I think that's what I will do rather than risk frail ,sickly or unproductive hens
