I've done a few searches but didn't come up with anything relevant.
I have a few hens that enjoy sitting in the nest boxes for lengthy periods of time and not lay an egg. They might sit there for a couple of hours and then leave. Does anyone else experience this and know why it happens?
I'm thinking this is an EE cockerel, almost 15 weeks old. Want to see what the rest of you think before I try to sell him. I don't want to get rid of a pullet as I have encountered neighbours that are always desperate for eggs.
Meet Pipsqueak. He (I just get the feeling it's a he) is 12 weeks and 2 days old. He appears to have stopped growing and isn't feathering well. The bird on the right is his full sibling. (The bird on the left is 3 weeks older).
