My hen used to lay an egg a day almost like clockwork. Now she is dropping them off her roost in the night almost every night. Anyone know why this might be? She even laid one in the nesting box and that one broke too, it's almost like it never hardened up???

I've done it and i never had any problems. Usually when you get chicks that are relatively young you can introduce new ones for a while. At least that's how it has been with me .
