Hello all,
I have the following available. These are STRAIGHT run as I hatched them myself and are vaccinated for Mareks. $18 per chick - please PM for further details.
Hello all! After an abysmal attempt at a NYD hatch, I am back again. This time with 36 (yes THIRTY SIX!) F1 Olive Eggers. Why? Someone was selling them in the my local chicken group on FB and I figured why not...
I'm trying to get some money for my wedding... so why not hatch out baby chicks...
This is just a thread I decided to open up to talk about how community college works and the admission process and what not. I'll add in stuff like what to expect and how to deal with it all - some of which can be applied to at the University level. This is mainly directed towards the younger...
No evidence of mites, thought it was the rooster but now I'm not too sure. My GLW started the trend and now my Sex Link and RIR are doing it too. I put some neosporin on my GLW since her skin has gotten sunburn and after picking it up today, notied how bad some of the scabs were getting. The Sex...
Hello all!
Now, I have five mutt chicks. Their mothers are either (1) Production Red (2) Golden Sex Link/Gold Comet or (3) GLW or Golden Laced Wyandottes.
Their father is a Black JGxSilkie mix.
The three brown ones here are from the Production Red, I believe. The white is from the...

We're removing her from the flock and dusting her with cornstarch but I'm not really sure what to do wit the flap of skin. I'm no vet/doctor and its thanksgiving to boot! I don't think there's a vet in town that even caters to chickens.
Another bird was startled by the dogs barking and dropped the dove in our backyard. It became entangled in the plants and could not fly off. One of our cats found the bird and was ready to eat it when we intervened. The dove is bleeding from its foot - any ideas on how to stop it.
Since it is...
Hello everyone!
So here's the situation:
I have a black JGxSilkie cross. He is the larger of the two that I own. S/he is currently 4 weeks old and today, while out foraging with the other chicks, squirted - yes, squirted - a clear liquid from her/his vent. I went over to investigate and it...
Hello everyone!
Not entirely sure what to say -- as part of a class project, we had an incubator going and I received two of the hatched chicks. Since my mother grew up with chickens, we got really in to and later bought an additional two chicks this past Saturday. My incubated chicks are...
