    Scaly leg mite treatment

How often and how long should I put Vaseline on their legs? Two have a good case of them and the others look minor. I hope this works. ;-) ETA: I already searched for a while and haven't come up with any specific answer.

Pullet? Roo? Or too early? ;-)

Oh, I'm not planning on culling. I'll try to re-home this one (if it does turn out to be a roo) or the 1 yr old that's outside. If I can't re-home then he'll probably be stew. He has a long while till then. ;-) The babies make me so happy! So cute with all the chest bumping. LOL

Pullet? Roo? Or too early? ;-)

My thoughts are Roo. Wider comb area, no dark spots on the legs, and lighter coloring than the other 2 Barred Rocks I purchased. ;-) I know Tractor Supply isn't always correct in their labeling and that's ok. I was just wondering for fun since the tub said pullets. LOL. ;-)

Hugs! Many many hugs and prayers! How are YOU holding up? Taking time for yourself? Finding local support of wives who have been though what you're going through? I'll keep you and your family in my prayers.

    Post your abnormal egg pictures!

I poked it with a knife over the bowl and it popped kind of like a water balloon. The yolk and whites went into the bowl and the shell (membrane?) just collapsed

Sleeping under the coop, not in the coop!

I think they just want their space/fresh air, now that it isn't super cold at night. I don't think they are broody. The first one slept there last week, one evening, then didn't do it again till tonight and got her friend to keep her company. LOL They are the two lowest in pecking order. I...

Sleeping under the coop, not in the coop!

About a week ago, my husband comes in the house and says there is only 5 chickens in the coop. There's supposed to be six, 1 too and 5 ladies. We found her snuggled up in the straw under the coop. (There is a 4x4x2 semi enclosed space under the coop, 2 exits) We left her there that night because...
