i have two containers where I've soaked pellets in some water
it should have only been a few hours at most that the pellets were soaking
most of one container smells like yeasty white bread (i recognize it from loaves of bread we've had for awhile) and the second container smells normal...
earlier today,we discovered one of our hens had been eggbound. we never knew she was and she didnt feature any symptoms. right now she has her egg out,but it's covered by a layer of skin and the egg cant be released. we have her in a tub of warm water now and we aren't sure what we can do.
i've...
i (used to) have a male coturnix quail named elmo. he had the italian color pattern, but instead of the black streaks, there was more of darker yellow. do you know what pattern he may have had? just wondering atm
for a long while,we've had them for around 4-5 months im thinking. and yes, when we got her as a baby her beak was crossing already.
EDIT:it turns out, yes, she can eat,but it's still pretty hard for her. the downside yet still, though,is we're completely unsure if she can drink at all, because we...
these photos are actually really old,but that's nugget, our bantam cochin (fully grown now) :D
also old photos,in the 2nd one all chicks sadly passed (also our silkie :'{ ) except one (muttbird's her name)
we happen to own what we think is a farrow quail (our only hen out of 4 other quail) and she was born with a crossed beak. we do need to trim the bottom, but we're worried about her inability to eat and probably drink. i've tried to handfeed her and she only got it in her beak atleast 2-3 times...
we happen to have a juvenile hen with about 3 hatched chicks, and she is loud as a goat. she won't stop once i come near her and she runs up to me bellowing her cluck. ever since we had to put her in that pen to be sure she and her chicks are(we let her out oncein a while) safe. i don't think we...

I've been wondering,is it possible for a hen to hold more than 1 egg instead of laying it?
Our hens haven't been laying recently, since the temperature changed. This morning,my dad decided to let them out to peck around and stuff, since they usually hang in the yard instead of going down the...
Our newly hatched chicks. Yellow and 'comet' are the first two at 2 days.
The other two are close to 1 day old.
Jewel,my 2nd spoiled. A very 'pecky/curious' cochin.
Lucky,my beloved spoiled blue silkie.
