He's around 4months old. I think he's a Blue Copper Marans, but the whole genetics thing confuses me. His Dad is a Splash Marans and his Mama is a Black Copper Marans.

I knew the original Bluebell was from Europe, but from what I read online I did potentially have the right birds to create one. But not the true Bluebell - a "backyard Bluebell" instead. Sounds good to me! Hopefully mine will be just as pretty! Thank you LoMC.

Oh well. They are good birds. Not heavy layers, but sweet - even the Rooster. He's not aggressive at all. I imagine their offspring will be very interesting indeed!
