Seems to be, the duckling doesn't really like being under the hen though! He's fine clambering around her and he has explored but he doesn't seem to want to be with the other chicks. I don't know, I guess ducklings are more independent!

I put the hen eggs under her a week after the duck eggs so all SHOULD hatch at the same time. I have had excellent luck with first time broodies before and this little hen seems very sensible!!

Does anyone know how long after a hatch the chicks will be walking?? I had one hatch last night under a broody hen and he still can't walk, his feet are curled up and he doesn't use his legs. They look fine and he seems strong. ideas????
