yes he is allowed to free range- thought about caging him separate, but
didn't know if this would cause him to be more aggressive. lady last night
I had to bandage her leg because he hit a vericose vein her shoe was even full
of blood. Thanks for the suggestions.
Twice in one week my 1yr. old golden sebright has attacked.
He is doing his job and just protecting his girls but it is not me
he is attacking but my Mom last Fri., and a lady who stopped for eggs
last night. Is this normal for this breed? Plan on taking off of roost
tonite and well you know...
People love to check out our coop-they
get a kick out of the old T.V. I painted
a picture on and hung in the corner. I did
this as a joke as people thought the coop
was too nice for chickens, we now say that's
nothing they're in their watching T.V. now.
Thanks for confirming. She's a beautiful
girl. I didn't realize hatchery birds didn't
have the rose comb. I'm learning something
new all the time on here. I have a Golden Sebright
roo w/o rose comb too.
I bought this sign at a flea market-repainted it to look
like a Buff Orp., and added The Triple H Coop to it,
which stands for The Happy Hen House-The sign reads
We're not just clucking around!
Yes-more birds. ?? is that an ax on the stump in the run:rolleyes:
Beautiful setup-enjoy them. I'm 14 months into chickens and still
want to spend all my time watching them.
They ring the little bell on the bottom of the mirror and peck at the mirror.
When they were in the house we would here it and say to each other,
"the chicks must need something." They do peck at the ball a little. I do
notice it in different places of the cage. This is the fourt day in the...
So I picked out two last year-both roos
but they are doing fine together- they are the only roosters
with 7 standard hens. This year I got 5 more
standard pullets and decided to try for a banty hen-well....
I think I have another roo. My mom said next year try getting 10
and maybe one of them...
They are just six weeks old, and liking the new digs.
I was glad the cage I used as a brooder fit under the nest boxes.
They were in the run and loose in the coop for a while today while
the others were free ranging. I will miss the peeping in the house,
but was so glad the feed and waterer...
I have had good luck using it around my strawberries and raspberries-Not that
many droppings compared to shavings-Plants did not burn-growing like crazy.
When you hold her up to your ear
does she sound raspy at all? i had
a little banty 1.5# open mouthed breathing
Sun. P.M.-lungs were raspy, work at vet, so I
took him in. Have been giving him inj. antibiotic
good now. Indiana has been damp-my humidity
is staying around 90 in coop same as...
We named ours The Triple H (The Happy Hen House)
I bought this sign and repainted it-The color of a BO
and painted our coop name on it.
Here it is on the coop
