My Rouens are about the same age as yours and my drake looks female, he hasn't feathered out yet. The one that quacks loudly is the female, the boys have what I call a "smoker's quack" lol it's raspy and/or squeaky. You've got a pretty cute pair there :)
An update:
Ming-ming still loves sitting on my shoulder!
Getting SO big!!! Ming-ming, Max, and the only boy Link!
And my 2 new additions, Ricky and Lucy!

The Pekins love my 8 baby hens which are about the size of the new Rouen chicks. I'm going to introduce them in a controlled environment this weekend and see how they get along I think...
I have 3 Pekin ducklings that are about 3 weeks old now. today I got 2 Rouen ducklings that are about a week old I believe. My question is when can I put them together in their home? I have a trough for my ducks with food, water and a heat lamp. Should the new ducklings be quarantined to see if...
Update: we bought the ducklings a dog waterer, the kind with the deep dish and a reservoir on top, and they went crazy over it. Playing in the water and splashing. After moving the light the trough is only 75° at the hottest so they are very happy babies now, no more panting that I've noticed :)...
