    FEEDING CHICKENS GAME BIRD FEED

All the birds are in the same pen, so I was going to keep them on starter feed, with oyster shell on the side, until they all are laying, then switch to layer feed. Will the higher protein hurt them in any way? I was reading some posts that said the game bird feed made a difference in how good...

    FEEDING CHICKENS GAME BIRD FEED

My local feed store is recommending that we feed our chickens game bird feed instead of chicken feed. I presently have four 19 week old LF pullets and four 10 week old LF pullets. They said to feed them the game bird starter until they all start to lay, then switch to the game bird layer...

Can eat the egg if chicken has still been eating medicated feed?

I think you should feed everyone the Start & Grow and put out oyster shell in a separate dish for the Silkies.

Lethargic One Week Old Chick - HELP!!

She's eating and drinking, just not as vigorously as the other chicks. She still seems to want to be laying down, although when she does move around, she seems pretty normal, maybe not quite as agile. She's alert. Her poop is a bit runny, dark brown, no white.

For future reference, how long should baby chicks be given electrolytes? I'm wondering if I stopped them too soon and that caused the weakness in this chick. Thank you!

Lethargic One Week Old Chick - HELP!!

I have Corid. Should I try that? Her croup seemed to have food in it this morning. I sent my husband for some PolyViSol (w/o iron). Thought that might help. Do chicks ever grow too fast? She's the biggest, lankiest one and aside from seeming like she wants to lay down frequently, she's...

Lethargic One Week Old Chick - HELP!!

The chick does not have pasty butt and the crop is partially full. They are inside the house, in a brooder, and the temperature of the brooder is in the high 80's. The chicks are sleeping separately, not piled on each other, so I was thinking that the temp was good for them. When I noticed...

At what age do you start feeding this mix to your birds? Is it safe for very young (8 weeks) pullets? Thanks!
