    My friend has a compost pile and he found a bunch of maggots, he gave some to his chicks and I brought some home for mine. I'm guessing it doesn't hurt them. Are they mean to be treats or is something, if harnessed, can be a food source? Video won't up load so here are a couple pics

    Thanks for all the responses, I have done a little research and I think I decide to keep one cockerel and see if the buddy wants the other one. Any suggestions, also could you have 2 roosters? Will the eggs still be good to eat? Anything else I need to know? Thanks for all the help
