    Help getting my girls in their coop at night

    I have 4 girls 13 and 14 weeks old. They spend all day in their run as they would get killed by our lab if they roamed in the yard all day.     I have recently begun treating my 4 & 5 week girls to crickets and scratch. It seems that they are now completely disinterested in their starter feed. I work every day but when I get home it seems that they aren't eating much. If they are hungry, they will eat, right ?

    I'm a newbie and am just finishing up the coop for my 4 & 5 weeks gals to start hanging out in during the day. The hen house floor is chicken wire so the dropping fall through onto the floor of the run below. They can't walk on chicken wire right?? Wouldn't they get stuck or possibly injure...

    chewed my hen head off

    Just today actually someone told me they had just the head of one of their hens chewed off by a skunk. The skunk will apparently chew the head, drink the blood and then leave the rest. Terrible!!
