I completely understand having people on your property. I myself do not allow anyone on my property for that reason. I have invested way to much time and money into my animals to have their lives put at risk. Plus the poultry seem in CT is going down hill to untrustworthy people raising sick...
How old are you looking for? I'm only asking cause I know some people having a different mind set of what a pullet is. I have 3 week old buff or ping ton and barred rocks if you are interested. They are pretty much off heat. I'm in Wallingford
I did not have a good experience at all with Papas Poultry. Seems nice and all until you call him out on his stories not lining up and poor quality birds. I will never ever purchase from him again. [

There is always the fear of it coming over to the East so I think they are just being very cautious. There's a FB site Connecticut Poultry swap and chat. Are you currently looking for chicks? I have some for sale
No but they used to have for viewing but this year for the first time they did not have any live birds. I believe because of the bird flue going around, to be precautious
I just ordered ducks that are shipping today :( I hope they arrive safely. I asked when I called and they said all ducks are shipped out of CA. They hatched their own chickens and turkeys but not the ducks.
It's really best to have more then one female with a rooster. They can be tough on a hen. In general they say at least 3 to a flock. That way if you lose one you still have 2 that are together.
