@geeky sheep I thought so but like I mentioned I'm fresh to looking for attachment. The rolling was easy to see though. I live in PA and they came from Ohio so there was a lot less handling through the shipping process I think. I hope it goes well. I won't be able to keep any guineas:( but each...

I've read quite a few sites on guinea eggs and from what I'm gathering they are treated just as chickens with the exception of the length of time. Chickens are 21 vs. 28 days for guinea. I've candle them . She gave me 25 eggs and from what I can tell 6 or 7 are detached and/or rolling but I can...

    Silver Laced Orpingtons

These are beautiful. Earlier in the post someone said they were pricey. What do they normally go for? Maybe this is why I haven't seen this breed locally.

Yay, glad to hear stabilizing the air cell isn't impossible! Also, with any luck the veins are"hiding" from you and they'll be more prominent in a few days. I always try to be optimistic about things :P The eggs mom brought today I have sitting in egg cartons waiting to go in the bator tomorrow...

Thank you! I opted to just lay on their side. This morning I had my first one hatch. It was kind of early since hatch day isn't until tomorrow but apparently it wasn't waiting :-) I'm super excited even though I only have 1 and n no others are even piping yet but we'll see how it goes. Still...

I'm getting ready for lockdown tomorrow and I had a question. My eggs are in a turner. When I take the turner out should I lay the eggs on their sides to hatch or put them in cut down egg cartons? Does it matter?

Day 7 & I had to pull 4 eggs that I was 100% sure were blood rings. My first time candling so they were very distinct . I'm not horribly disappointed though since this is my first go at hatching so my findings could have been way worse. Ask mine are brown eggs so the couple I wasn't sure on I...
