    Delawares from kathyinmo

I live in East Central Alabama. Is there anyone else on here that has some of her birds that is willing to sell some? I am hoping to pick them up, so if possible, in Alabama or Georgia. Or if you have some descendants of them. Even Fertilized eggs would be great! I would really love to have some...

Is this a hen or rooster? Do you think it is a Dominique?

This is a picture from yesterday! I believe he is a rooster! Don't you agree! Btw, his legs are mostly yellow with a few darker spots on them...

Is this a hen or rooster? Do you think it is a Dominique?

This chick is still in the awkward teen stage. Not sure exactly how old it is, my neighbor gave it to us. His son's school sent each kindergartner home with a single baby chick when they were a few days old. Therefore this chicken is very into people, but doesn't care for my other 10 chickens...

    Rhode Island Red Thread!

Normally it is safe to move them outside when they are fully feathered. At about 4-6 weeks. If the garage is completely enclosed and it stays above freezing inside it it may be safe to move them out sooner with the heat lamp. We kept ours in a brooder box in the bathroom for 4 weeks. Just kept...

Show off your Old English Game Bantams!!

These I believe are OEG Bantams. Whatever they are they are pretty! They have bright yellow feet and are the same size as the last batch of Bantam chickens that we got that I was told on here were Old English Game Bantams. My new Rooster and his two hens hiding behind him! Him giving me...

    Rhode Island Red Thread!

These are the two roosters the combs and waddles are very obvious on my Roos! My pullets don't have any red in their face yet. Don't you agree that the ones with the waddles and combs are Roos?

    Rhode Island Red Thread!

This one of my two 9 week old RIR roosters. I have six hens! :) They are finally old enough to know what they are!!! The are looking more like real RIRs by the day! Their beaks are even getting dark! I am so happy! They moved in with my 7 bantam chickens this week in the big coop! :)

Is this a hen or rooster?

This is him this morning. I moved him and the game rooster out of the coop last night because my 10 week old "hopefully RIR" chicks have outgrown their baby coop. And as large as these two rooster are and as protective as game rooster has become of the hens I was scared to leave them in with the...

Is this a hen or rooster?

Thank y'all for all of your help! I guess now we just need to decide if we eat him or the game Roo. Our other male is a precious bantam and he is a keeper! The game roo has spurred me twice and so he may be the one to go... The red is very friendly even though he isn't a RIR we might make him a...

Is this a hen or rooster?

Dang really... I was really hoping for just a slow developing hen. :( My husband was adamant it was a hen, but I was beginning to wonder with the visible saddle feathers on its back. It also puffed up at my baby chicks yesterday when they met for the first time and I saw hackle feathers that...

Is this a hen or rooster?

We got this chicken when we knew NOTHING about chickens. It was about 17 weeks then. It was sold to us as a RIR hen. I have done some research and can tell it is obviously not a RIR! But is it a hen? It is now almost 30 weeks. It hasn't started to lay yet, but it does not crow either. We have...

    Rhode Island Red Thread!

Those are gorgeous 7 week old babies!! Are they pullets? Just curious... I have a few that look like the first one and I can't tell yet what they are... Rhode rock, can you get a closer pic of the baby laying down in the pic. The one standing has a lot of the RIR in it. It looks a lot like a...
