Hi all! I'm just South of North Platte! Not sure if there's anyone else in my area? I have boomed to about 65 chickens, 20 guineas, 20 or so ducks, 3 lonely male chukars, assorted bunnies. And dairy goats.
I had two silkie and silkie cross hens go broody at the same time and now the eggs are starting to peep do I leave them out with the moms or bring the moms and babies in for a while? It's been in the 20's and 30's every night around here. Thanks
I have about 20 hens and we moved them to a bigger coop. We were getting about a dozen eggs a day now nothing. This coop is much more ventilated. Could it be too ventilated or breezy? I thought maybe we had egg eaters but I check several times a day and only one or two eggs? Hmm?
I have four white chinese geese for sale in mid west Ne. If any one is interested? They are very tame and in great health no problems! Just wanting to cut down on critters a little bit for now. Thanks
I have a rubber made tote and drilled holes in it for venting. It has woked great! We were moving and showng the house so I moved them to the garage and forgot about them for ahile and they are still going strong, I just checked and I have lots of sizes and eggs so I must be doing something...
It's all your fault! You guys and gals are all enablers! I was just curious last year. So I look up this site and was curious. And I had {thought} about hatching some eggs for the "learning experience" for my kiddies. Well we hatched them alright! I still have 9 of them in my city backyard...
I just ended up with three white chinese goslings for my early birthday gift and my in laws bought me the fourth one. Well the fourth I think is a male and he keeps pinning the others down and holding them there while they scream. Is this normal male behavior for them? Or did I just get an...

I wanted geese for my birthday. Yeah. I know it's not diamonds but you can cuddle these. And when they get bigger they will eat my weeds! Well any way I went to get chick feed promising myself I would walk right past the ducks and chicks....... And look down and this is what I saw! So I...

We bought a farm and I am going to need some ducks, guineas, and a bred or freshened dairy breed goat. I am in Mid-west Nebraska if anyone has any of the above. Thanks
I did the same thing about two weeks ago. But it was two chicks they were getting ready to knock on the head. One died as soon as I got it home and the other had almost all of the skin around i'ts vent and back tummy peel loose with the poo. It was burned from having all that feces packed on...
Our backyard right now is just privacy fenced and I clip their wing to keep them in but it works great! We have been with our chickens for about a year. No problems...
