Hello everyone,
I live in Colorado where it has been exceptionally warm and dry this fall. I have 15 self blue d'anvers, 12 hens and three roosters. They all started molting about 6 weeks ago. Three hens seem to be stuck in molting, just now getting some pin feathers, but they are "hunched...
Does anyone have experience with self blue D'Anvers in cold weather? Here where I live in Colorado it often gets to minus 20 the chickens are in a large barn, enclosed from wind and moisture. I put down straw but these chickens like perching on wire panels, roof trusses etc. in the barn.
I have 20 bantam chicks arriving in a couple weeks. Should I feed the medicated chick starter and also give the medicated water, or just the medicated chick feed and plain water? Thanks!!
Hi everyone, last night I noticed a lil blood in some stools. My chickens are all adult silkies. the youngest is about 9 months most are 2 -3 years old. I read several previous posts here about chicks getting coccidiosis, but can adults get cocci also? any idea what may be causing this?

I have a young 2014 hatch pair of wandering tree ducks. has anyone had any experience with these ducks? Im feeding them an 18% protein pellet, they seem to really like the pellets.
I have been feeding just hen scratch to my doves, but recently became more aware that hen scratch by itself isn't the best for our birds has anyone fed a complete pelleted feed to them?
