    Mille Fleur D' Uccles

I have two little 12 week old chicks. I don't know if that's old enough to tell the gender but I think one is turning out to be a cockerel. The speckles are developing quicker and s/he is a little more assertive than the other. The first two are the possible male and the second two are the...

    Silkie pullet or cockerel

This is Snowball, my 12 week old Silkie. I'm hoping she's a girl but her tail feathers are starting to worry me. I've heard how hard it is to sex Silkies, but does anyone have any ideas?

    Mystery chick

[/IMG] Can anyone tell me what breed this chick might be? I'm hoping it's a girl. She's almost 4 weeks old. She came as an extra mystery chick with my shipment of silkies. The hatchery labeled her as a "rare" breed, but I don't know. She's black with goldish tips on her wings. She has thin...

    Inconsistent layer

My EE is about a year old, I raised her from a chick. She started laying a couple months ago. But she isn't consistent at all. She'll lay 3 days in a row, and then nothing for weeks. She laid a shell-less egg two weeks ago and nothing since. She eats fine, drinks fine, and doesn't seem generally...

    Silkie chicks

I know these are both silkies. The little one on the left is a buff. I thought the one on the right was buff too but she's got speckles on her wings. Is she a partridge silkie? What do you think?

     Treats for chickens

Any feedback would be great. I heard recently from someone who says they give spoiled milk or yogurt and other foods that have gone "bad" to their chickens. Just the thought of feeding my girls something I won't eat myself makes me cringe. What do you guys say?

    Please help

I have two chicks, about 6 weeks old I think. I got them from a meat market shop so I have no idea what breeds they might be. They're probably just mutts, but if you guys have any ideas, I'd love to hear them. This is Bertha, but I think she might be a he! This is Elaina. She doesn't have...
