So some of my chicks already have their hat feathers in & some do not. They are all the same age & I am wondering if that has anything to do with their gender.

Hello, so I’m thinking at this point of 3 months that one is a roo & one is a hen, help me if ya will.

They are the same age, one is way bigger. Neither have any bright red or anything growing in yet. 3 months old.

I know that a male is supposed to look lighter, but I literally can not tell. One seems a bit lighter but not as light as the males I’ve seen online.
