Do these Easter eggers look like roosters?? 8 weeks old this week.

Would you mind telling me what you’re seeing that suggests that, besides the bright color of the comb?

What breed and sex is this?

Hi! 8 week old bird with red and black wings is obviously not the barred rock pullet we thought we purchased at 3 day’s old. Please help me figure out what the breed is, and if it’s a rooster! Thanks in advance!

So by four weeks, if they don’t have a black beak, it cannot be a female?

    Fertilizers? Herbicides? Fungicides?

So you don't let them get exposed to any. Did you read that it can hurt them?

    Fertilizers? Herbicides? Fungicides?

Our 3 hens enjoy grazing in our backyard all day. The grass there is very weedy due to the poor quality soil, and I'd like to try to use herbicides and fertilizers to actually turn it into a nice lawn. If I do that, will it hurt my chickens? And can we eat their eggs? -Jennifer

    How high can we get?

We put the coop on saw horses to keep out of water for Harvey...haven't had time to put it down yet. Those silly birds want to be as high as possible!

    Get off the coop!

We have three adult hens. They free range all day in the backyard, the coop is just for sleeping. The coop is about 3 x 4, with two roosting rods, and plenty of air blows through.

    Get off the coop!

Hi all! Our hens are preferring to roost on top of the coop, rather than in it. It is irritating, because they get there before ready to put them away, and they poop on the top, making a big mess. It's not that we mind grabbing them up and put them into the coop, we just want them to go there...

What do you think of these? A golden sebright and a silkie...both are 6 weeks old. Two pics of each. We're seeing recent aggressive behavior in the sebright, so worried it's a male.
