    Help!! Injured girl!

I have tried egg ..almost forgot about that. I never thought of tuna..but I will try anything at this point! Any variety to keep her interested! I got a semi solid poop today...so I know she's getting something out of it. Anything is better than the runny stuff I was getting before. Thank you...

    Help!! Injured girl!

Thank you! She is pretty stinking cute...i hope she gets back to that point! The first thing I tried over everything was hard boiled egg yolk and she ate that as well. I know its slow going...but I will be overjoyed when she finally eats on her own. I take her out and let her stretch her legs a...

    Help!! Injured girl!

Unfortunately the only vet that will see chickens around here is booked for another 2 weeks unless I want to pay a 300 dollar emergency fee just to be seen. Ridiculous. I love my girls...but can't afford to throw that away on one chicken.

    Help!! Injured girl!

This was taken last night. She was actually falling asleep during that picture. Beside her one eye was injured, but we cleaned up what we could. I checked for reactivity to light and it seems to be ok. Her other eye wasn't harmed at all. The vision thing was my first thought with her action but...

    No eating or drinking

Her eyes are just closed....not bloody...and the "fuzz" around them is still intact. The other birds are not keeping her from food and water. ..she has access to both and will sit next to either feeder and peep. I'm heading to the feed store now to pick up some things. Hopefully, she'll come around.

    No eating or drinking

I picked up 2 Araucanas the other day. I noticed one pecking at the other when I got them home, but it didn't seem excessive. After introductions to the rest of the flock and monitoring everyone seemed fine...curious not aggressive. The next morning one of the new girls would not open her eyes...

    New in PA!

I'm new to the site and new to the world of raising chickens! I am in southwestern PA. I started out with a large variety of chicks to see which ones I would come to like the most. The flock consists of Light Brahma's, blk aus., Dom's, RSL's, Gold laced wyandottes, and Araucana's. So far I...
