    Quail and chickens

That was my thought too, would make cleaning easier. Oh well, we have the room to put them further out so that’s what we’ll do. Ours will be raised for meat and eggs also but I still don’t want them to get sick and or possibly lose a whole flock and have to start over. Thanks guys!

    Quail and chickens

So I know you shouldn’t keep quail and chickens together in the same coop but would it be ok to build a quail pen, high up off of the ground in the chicken coop so they don’t have direct contact? I’ve read about Coryza and how it can be devastating to quail but that it is primarily spread by...

Can y’all tell me what color these two are? I always thought my Guinea hen was lavender and my Guinea cock was chocolate but after looking at Guinea colors again I am questioning myself. Momma was a little ruffled, lol. Any help appreciated!

    Breed and gender help?

Thank you for responding! I really hope you're right about the Wyandotte.....pretty birds! The booted bantams are cool looking also, that's one breed that didn't come up when I was initially searching. Yeah, Fraggle(#2) doesn't have any red on his/her comb, its completely yellow/orange right...

    Breed and gender help?

I'm new to chickens, was never interested in them until I ordered some ducks from Ideal and received some little packing peanuts. They were Rhode Island Reds, all turned out to be roos and sadly, they ended up being huge and aggressive so we rehomed them. They sure were fun and entertaining...

    Ideal Poultry packing peanuts

I ordered some ducklings from Ideal Poultry and these little guys were sent along for the ride. I wasn't in the market for chickens but I have to admit, they're pretty darn cute! Can someone tell me what they are?
