    This is a cross of Barred Plymouth Rock Rooster and a production red hen. I'm thinking if the hen is a RIR it will look the same. I'll post a picture when I hatch one. They are good for meat by the way. You can see he looks heavy.

    Thanks for that. I'm actually trying to produce new offspring for egg production. What I noticed is that production reds are better for meat than eggs. In your experience what's the best layer so far? They said Black/Red Sex Links are good layers unfortunately I only have 2 Barred Rock Hens/1...
