Iris has been laying for a week or so. Got our first three egg day on Feb 25th. Got 14 eggs in the week.

Opps, haven't been updating this. How the girls have grown! Still won't eat BOSS, but mealies are the best. Luckily for my wallet, dried mealies are perfectly fine...

DH got a new job in Cary so I'm leaving the CO thread and coming here! Currently staying with family in Winston-Salem. We're looking for houses with Apex or Raleigh addresses. My understanding is that barring HOAs, I can have poultry and bees in those, correct?

We are distributing several hundred nucs of bees at my house on Saturday...that should be fun in the snow!! Also supposed to be putting up fence and finishing the chicken coops (chicken palaces, as my husband calls them!). I'll post pictures later when they're finished...
Wonderful! Used to live in Willoughby and they were very clear that chickens weren't allowed. Funny thing is I heard crowing several times. Maybe from Mentor?
