We added 2 layer hybrids to our small flock and they started laying at 5 months old. Last week , I cracked open one the eggs and there was a normal yolk and a small sparrow sized fully formed egg within the larger egg. Has anyone had this happen ?

We had a WH girl that was stargazing too. We never really got a good answer for why it started.
