The gingers have settled in well. There were a few attempts at escapology for a few days, but we've now clipped wing feathers (thanks, youtube!) and reinforced the fenced area and they now scratch around happily where we want them.

Ok - the deed is done! We now have three hybrids settling nicely (I think!) into the rough-and-ready coop and run I've built.
They're already showing quite a bit of character, with the Boss Chicken plotting her escape admirably; the other two following her lead by jumping onto the coop's roof...
