The broilers are from Ideal Hatchery. Believe they are astrolorp and dark Cornish.

Thanks for everyone's response. I figured out the issue. I had two males in the cage. There was no fighting as they seemed to get along. Once I removed the other male, POW. They laid 4 eggs the very next day.

I build this quail coop in just over a day. Hope it gives you all ideas on making your own cage. Measures 4' 7" x 3' The bottom is hardware cloth with chicken wire on the sides.

@BeachMomma Thanks for the reply. They received the fowl pox vaccine two months ago. I am leaning toward these guys fighting.

I guess it could be but they were raised together and don't see them really fight besides some posturing. I will keep an eye out. Just making sure it is not some sickness I need to address.

@aart We don't have an issue with salmonella or anything to worry about out of the norm. Just been reading of the benefits of vaccinating against it. Was wondering if anyone know where I can purchase the vaccine.
