I am really interested in raising SBELs. I currently have Marans and Orpingtons. I have 7 SBEL eggs in the incubator right now, but the eggs were a light hue of blue. What breed should I cross these with to get a darker blue shell? Cream legbar or Ameraucana? Thanks for the help.

I have been trying to hatch call ducks for a few years with minimal luck. I can get the eggs to develop right to hatching time, but then the ducklings don't hatch and die in the shell. I'm convinced this must have something to do with the humidity in my incubators. I usually hold them about...
