We recently discovered our muscvoy hens weren't drakes but were lame ducks. As first time duck owners it annoys me that someone would sell ducks with this disorder. I'm just wondering how do you identify lame ducks? The duck expert that diagnosed them said they were "lesbio" .

My two Muscovy hens have been opening and closing their mouths at me. I feel like it's code for I want to bite you head off
But I also have seen them do it when I have a bag of lettuce, so I was thinking they only do that when hungry.
