I think she definitely was a game hen. I say "was" because we had to re-home her. She was so flighty that she would not stay in the run. 4-5 times a day we would find her out of the run. And she was so fast and flighty that it took me and both of my kids to strategically get her back in the run...

We got her from our local farm store. They get chicks from hatcheries, but the ones that don't sell go out into a pen and get older and are sold as hens. So there are all different breeds in the pen. I thought she looked like a Buff Orpington but I also thought she looked like a Buff Plymouth Rock.

It does have a single comb.

Well our mystery girl gave us a beautiful pale blue egg today.

I am new to chickens and just got my first two. Was hoping someone could help me identify the breeds. I think the black & white is a Plymouth Rock but I am not sure about the other one. Can anyone help? Thank you!
