Same bird, in a very awkward stage now lol

I've just received 18 'show quality' silkie eggs from a purchase made on eBay, and I'm a little worried because the whole box, packaging, even the eggs themselves stink like cigarette smoke! I set the eggs out to let them settle, and just not put them in the incubator, but I can even smell it...

It has a little goop that crusts over if I don't clean it out in time. No sneezing or noticeable abnormal behavior otherwise. Ok! Thanks! Coconut oil is all I had tonight and I thought maybe neosporin, but I will look for that...I wonder if I can buy it at a farm store or TSC?

It comes from a line of buffs, but the lady said there is a partridge somewhere back a couple generations. She breeds and shows in Texas. I got a few more from her that are unquestionably nice buff chicks, then this one, and one that has a dark back, here: a different chick.
