Hey guys,
I'm wanting to sell my old Leahy, no trays, it turns on fan blows, and heats up.
Help me on pricing?
I've posted before, we were back and forth on restoring it. Then we moved and life happened.
Yeah I'm a little worried about it but yesterday they just looked at the chicks and then walked away. I had the chicks in the house today but back out this evening and they still didn't seem interested in them. But I'm sure that could change at any moment

Does anyone put chicks straight in the coop with the big girls? I'm hoping it's not a horrible idea. We only have 2 chicks. We wanted to let the kids pick one each. We also have 4 hens. They mainly stay in the lower "run" or free range. They come up top to sleep and to lay. We put a light in the...
I posted my incubator that I posted pics of a page or 2 back on craigslist. I plugged it in, its heating up, fan is blowing. I'm asking $350, does that sound right. Too much or too low? It doesn't have drawers but has the runners for 5 or 6. I had considered making it look pretty and making...
OK, I have decided after 4 months and the move is over, that i want to restore this thing. I was disappointed to find though that when i went to turn it on last the light did not turn on, and I don't believe it was heating up. I didn't leave it on for too long though. I am wondering, is the...
LOL
I don't know that I'll restore it. I just don't see it happening. I see it wasting away in storage all in the name of keeping it to keep it and I'd rather it go to someone to love it and use it. I'm such a pack rat though that I am so unsure. I have too much stuff I know that! LOL
Ahh yes, the seeds. I just assumed that since they held temps so well while on, that it may work for starting my seeds. (not on LOL) My house temps fluctuate so much due to poor insulation. Plus, keeping them in there kept my kids tiny fingers out of my little pots. LOL
Anyway, I don't know...
Hi, I need some help. I have a lot of pictures! I acquired this incubator from a family member. I originally planned to see if I could use it (he had used it to hatch). I ended up not using it, I did turn it on, let it get to temp but I was nervous about using it. LOL Anyway, I eventually turned...
Ok so I found my broody in the woods with her eggs. I moved them to a broody box for safety. I candled 3days ago and they all looked similar in size. She has a total of 13 its her first time being broody. Thought i was at day 13ish. Last night i replenished her water and she got up for a drink...
Umm seems ive had the eggs a lot longer than i realized. Its been 15 days lol. Im going to toss them and let her do her thing.

Ok so i found my missing hen. I was sure she was going broody when i stopped getting eggs. She was setting up a nest in the woods.
Well i found her with a ton of eggs. I have a few shipped eggs (which i may have had too long now. Whats the longest i can keep them?) Should i try to put them under...
LOL well, I guess it doesn't really matter. I think I have a critter stealing my eggs. I had a silkie acting broody so I put the eggs in with her and came back and all 4 were gone, and I found a small hole in the coop. I'm guessing rat. Wonderful. I also haven't had an egg from that coop since.
I have a surprise EE hen. She doesn't have the muffs on her face, but she has a pea comb and olive colored legs and when she started to lay they are green. She was bought from a backyard breeder that told me he didn't have any tinted egg layers. Ok, so her "brother" I say that because I bought...
I'm sorry you lost one. Mine don't have a ramp. How old are the chicks? I actually didn't put mine back in the coop until about a week old. At that time, I let them incorporate slowly, then after a day or two of a few hours out in the coop, I left them out there. Mama just calls to them and they...
