It would not be for nighttime protection as everybody gets locked up at night. Just some daytime free ranging protection. I worry less about hawks as we live in a very wooded area. Not a lot of open space for hawks to see clearly.

Try your local vet. I work at a veterinary office and have had people walk in and ask if we could spare some 1ml syringes for their birds. We usually just give a couple out because they come free with most of our liquid medications.
