Hi All,
I've been reading about using Merck Safe-Guard Goat Dewormer to treat gapeworm in my chickens. I'm planning to buy the liquid form and put it in their water. Does anyone know:
1. How much to put in the water?
2. How long do we treat them?
3. Do we have to dispose of their eggs while...
That makes sense. Maybe she laid one or two the past few days (those I found this morning) and then two today (the two I found after the first two were found). Thanks :)
Hi,
We have 5 chickens that are 5 months old and today, one cinnamon made a little nest in the woods and when I checked on her, there were 4 eggs in there. Is it normal for one chicken to lay 4 eggs in one day? This is the first day we've ever gotten egg and she's the only one with the red...
I'm hoping you're still out there; I know this is an old post. I have an 11-week old silkie and he is having the same vision problems that you describe. Do you find anything out about it (cause or solution)? My poor boy can't pick up large meal worms even though he tries so hard he just keeps...
Thank you for all the great ideas! The poor little guy.... Last night I held him as he walked up the ramp and he did well. Then, I placed him at the bottom of the ramp and let him walk up on his own. Hooray!! Hopefully he'll be able to do it on his own at bedtime tonight. I will try the larger...
I bought meal worms today and the poor Little Roo pecked at them but could not aim right and kept missing. He didn't pick up a single one! Maybe his eyesight is bad? His head feathers don't obscure his vision so I'm not sure what else it could be. He goes down the ramp just fine but won't go up...
Hi,
I have a 10 week old silkie rooster and he doesn't seem to have figured out how to use the ramp to go into the coop. Every time it rains or if it's going to be cold at night, I've gone out to catch him and put him in the coop. The chicks use the ramp just fine. Any suggestions on this? Thanks!
