Trying to finish up the faces, but my blocks are all pieced. I could only get 12 done, so just send me 12 back instead of 20. My son ended up in the emergency room last weekend from a seizure so I didn't have time to finish all of them. He's ok, but it was very scary!
I'm going to try and get...
I'm slowing getting mine done. I'm doing pieced blocks and I have about 10 completed. I need to add some embellisments also. 12 would be easier for me to do at this point, but if I need to do 20 I will try my best to do it by the deadline! I'm in the middle of a move so hopefully I'll get it...
I'm guessing your run does not have an enclosed coop in it? Could you possibly create the "cage" for the roost area in hardware cloth to sit on the ground inside the run and then refashion it later as a roost area as they get older? Definately chicken wire is too big for the young chicks. They...
At 2 weeks old they would be okay in the garage for a week or two. I live in Central FL too but I got my chicks earlier in the spring and kept them in the garage with a heat lamp. 90 degrees will get too hot for them at 4 weeks IMO. Trust me, you don't want them in the house if at all possible...
I don't have any experience with that type of coop from your link, but I have seen something similar at the Feed store where i live (Sebring, Fl). I would try checking your local Tractor Supply or Feed store if you haven't already! Good luck!
My Buff Op is also the sweetest out of my bunch (Red Star, Barred Rock, EE, Black Sex Link). She is 6 weeks and is the only one who will not even flinch when I go to pick her up. I haven't named her yet, but I was thinking of calling her Buffy also
I need the address to send them to! Anybody plz respond ASAP so I can get my blocks in the mail
UPDATE: I got the address, thank you! Hope yall like my block!
Hope Cornell can help you. From the second pic I can see the wings. Looks very ant or termite-ish like some people have suggested. They are sooo tiny tho! I'll be interested if you find out what it is! if I get a chance I'll take your pic down to my local extension (i work in the same building)...
I would recommend EEs. I raised one EE chick (only one to hatch) and she is very sweet, great pet. I now have 10 chicks, 3 weeks old. 6 are EE, 1 barred rock, 1 black sex link, 1 red star, 1 buff orpington. So far the buff orpington is the sweetest girl in the bunch but one of the EEs is also...
I recently hatched 7 eggs and I put them in the carton for the first time. I would recommend doing it. I didn't have any problems and the chicks didn't seem to have any trouble getting out of the egg.
